I've finally made the leap and started a website. Take a few minutes to check it out! Stephanie Vogel Photography
It's similar to this blog and I am hoping to link a blog onto the website but I haven't decided whether I want to do that yet.

{Robbins family favorites!}
I loved getting to know the Robbins family, they were so fun and bubbly, I had a lot of fun. The week before I took their pictures we were headed to a park and we stumbled upon this empty desert area. I had been searching for a place to take pictures and this was perfect!! I was pretty excited to say the least. Being from Washington, I think the desert is beautiful, it's so different from what I am used to. Dumb luck sure brought great scenery to go a long with this beautiful family! Here are my favorite pictures from their shoot (not counting the few I posted on Facebook!).

This is my kind of girl!
I had a blast with the Robbins family today and this little one sure knew how to work the camera.
More pictures to come.

Long time no post
I haven't officially announced this yet but we have moved from Washington and have settled in Las Vegas. I am always hesitant to say this is permanent because it seems like all our plans end up changing so I am not going to call this a permanent move and we will most likely move back to Washington in the future but for now here in Las Vegas is where I am. I can't wait to get my name out around there and start working with new clients. I have been focusing on personal growth and where I can improve photography wise. I have added a little to one of the pages above, "Details," it's short and sweet. For some people pictures can be overwhelming (I know I have felt this way) and who needs complicated instructions right!? Here is what I added to the page and feel free to refer back to it when your thinking about getting some photos done!
{By the way...I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season and has felt as refreshed as I have to the thought of a brand new year!}
What to wear??
Whatever you would like! Wear what you will feel comfortable in and be yourself! Jeans are the go-to and always look great but if you want to go a little dressier go for it. I would recommend sticking to bold colors, stray away from black, white and pastels, these colors aren't as flattering unfortunately. As tempting as it is to wear black, throw on a print, you will be glad you did. Dressing in layers adds texture to photographs and it always brings photos to the next level. Cardigans, sweaters scarfs, gloves, hats, tights, ruffles, jewelry, hats, headbands, bows, boots etc., all add extra details and will make your photographs more visually appealing, I promise!
Wear what you will feel comfortable in and be yourself! If you are arranging outfits for your family I wouldn't try to be "matchy-matchy". Go for different patterns and choose a color palette of 4 colors or so. Don't feel the need to purchase a new wardrobe. Simply go through closets and pick a child or adult shirt, whomever you feel you will have a difficult time choosing clothes for, and coordinate clothes from there. Here is our family picture. Let me know if you want help I am more than willing to help or go over clothing before a photo session!

{Martin Family}
I'm such a sucker for laughing babies!! She was giving out kisses, smelling flowers, looking for squirrels, this girl just didn't stop. Which made for one tired photographer :)
Halloween!
Here is little miss Snow White!! She adored this costume and honestly so did I! I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween festivities!
{For some reason I couldn't get blogger to work for me for awhile and now it is so I am updating this here blog :) }
